The Memory Archive

The romanticization of “good old times” (simpler times) is ritualized by people in the same way as the idealization of “bright future”. Nostalgia and utopia collide in the chaos of the moment in which we are living, the simultaneity of various perspectives, truths and identities. The performance tackles the moment of facing a viewpoint, making a decision and taking responsibility, despite the changeability, uncertainty and relativity of time, beliefs, circumstances.

Victoria 2.0

Winners are confident. Winners are passionate. Winners appreciate themselves. Winners know what they want and how to achieve it. Winners never quit. Winners are disciplined. Winners don’t wait for perfect conditions. Winners know that the biggest risk is not taking a risk. Winners compare themselves only to themselves. Winners don’t need anyone’s approval.

The performance, which has become a huge international success, draws upon the work of one of the most well-known Czech writers and the first Czech president after the break-up of Czechoslovakia, Václav Havel – the Audience. What happens when two actresses, a brew of brilliant Czech beer and gigantic masks find themselves on stage together, alongside the brand of absurd humour which relies on the eternal exploitative relationship between the employer and the employee?

This performance is also part of the MAMO Season Ticket. Not just any child, her nephew. Her sister, who lives in Portugal with her two children, will not let her wish come true.

Hero 2.0 – The Show of all Shows

If you don’t consider yourself to be the best actor, stop acting. If you don’t think you are making the best show, don’t make it. If you don’t think you can be selected for the programme, don’t apply. Hero 2.0 talks exactly about this: it’s not a question of faith but a matter of complete and blind conviction that Hero 2.0 IS the Show of all shows..

Alien Express: The 2nd Flight

Where (else) to fly? After the successful first takeoff, the enigmatic movable pair Alien Express (Gašper Kunšek, Žigan Kranjčan) is returning to the stage. This time with the musical assistance of DJ SunnySun and jazz musician Kristijan Kranjčan, with the guerrilla light intervention by Borut Bučinel and the sound landscape by Jure Vlahović. The 2nd Flight, among other things, raises questions of artistic inspiration and the creative, vital energy – where does it come from and where does it go?

And Here I Am

And Here I Am is an epic journey of an activist, prisoner and refugee from the Palestinian West Bank, a journey of the search for identity and self-discovery. Through intertwining fact and fantasy, the tragic and the comic, through the First and the Second Palestinian Intifadas, we follow the protagonist Ahmed Tobasi and his transformation from an armed insurgent fighter to artist, from Palestine to Norway and back.
