REAL MAGIC

REAL MAGIC

About the performance:

The three chickens on stage are like three headless Slovenias who cannot find a common language. They are trying. They are trying very hard. They are trying to the fullest and beyond, but they don’t succeed. They don’t know it yet, but this is a show made for Slovenia. This is a performance about absurd disconnection, struggle and comical repetition. This is a show in which Richard Lowdon, Claire Marshall and Jerry Killick consistently prove the excellence of their acting. The acting on stage, the acting in the minds, the acting in the world. Its real magic is to remind us of the real magic of theatre and that something is rarely what it seems. That the devil is in the detail. That simplicity is the most complicated. That being human is, at its core, extremely interesting.

After the performance, there will be a discussion with the authors.

In cooperation with Maribor Theatre Festival.

Media reactions:

Real Magic is a super-brutal machine that is inescapable, the rules of which cannot be changed. […] It becomes an emotional journey, watching this show. It opens up stories within your own life.
