TRIGGER 2021: DECENTRALIZING ART – TRIGGER conference

DECENTRALIZING ART: TRIGGER conference in cooperation of Glej Theatre with Centre for Creativity and Crossings Festival 2021
Conference is also a part of Stages without borders programme

As it is becoming clear that festival/meeting/conference/performance hopping is neither sustainable nor possible, we look towards new forms of long term collaboration on both national and international levels. Leaning on the (post)Yugoslavian tradition of widespread cultural centres in local communities we are bringing together local and international representatives of non-urban festivals, residency centres and cultural centres. We wish to ask ourselves how to create a decentralized and sustainable art community, programming policies reflecting the reality of many centres and exchange views and experiences of working outside political, financial and hyper-producing realities, searching for genuine and longstanding relationships with different communities and audiences.
